RECOGNITION & APPLICATION
The fob keys cannot be cloned, and the vehicle must be connected to diagnostic equipment.
If all keys are lost to a Saab which use the blade type key, the TWICE module needs to be replaced in order to allow the car
to run. We can perform this service, but we must have the car at our location.
If all the keys are lost to a Saab
which uses the fob type key, the CIM module needs to be replaced or serviced. We do not do this, but you can go to
http://www.lostsaabkeys.com and be connected to a company which can help you with this.
Saab began using transponder based systems in 1999 on the 9-3 and 9-5.
DUPLICATION & ORIGINATION
In 2003, the 9-3 began to use a fob which fits into a socket which
acts as the key. The 9-5 still uses the conventionl key with a blade. All the cars which use the key type with
the blade may be cloned. This means the keys are reasonalby priced, and the vehicle does not need to be connected
to diagnostic equipment.
